“ZhengDing Li” is located adjacent to the old city of Zhengding. The context calls for a resolution of the tension between the new and old, historic and modern, and the contrast of architectural scales and its languages. It synthesizes the presence and the values of the past with the potentials and realities of the contemporary to accommodate commercial demands. Thus, as part of the design team, we took the iconic language of the pitched roof, and incorporated traditional architectural themes into hotel exterior facade treatment.

I was especially responsible for the form and massing of both of all-day-dining restaurant and the banquet hall design.
